Makeup for Redheads

Red hair looks good but when it comes to makeup for red heads, the selection of shades could be a bit tricky. The base has to be minimal otherwise the whole look can look unnatural. Foundation selection should be such that it goes with the skin undertone. If no particular shade of complexion suits you then try out mixing the color and then try them out. Try to avoid too much of yellow as it does not look flattering. In case you have freckles, do not try to cover them much with concealer. Simply embrace them as a part of your look.

Eye makeup for redheads

When you are done with base, another important section of makeup that needs to be taken care of is eye shadow palette. Go for less dramatic shadow shades as your hair color is already dramatic.

Try soft neutral green shades and browns as well. One combination that is very appreciated on red heads is deep brown with brick color shadow over the crease. For highlighter, try placing neutral tan over the lids of eyes. For evening, giving a little shine is suggested for which metallic gold looks good for redheads.

Avoid smoky eye makeup as it does not complement red hair. Instead, go for rust shade or brown.

Lipstick and blush on shade for redheads

Lipsticks are essential for giving a complete look to the face which is why try to have a good collection of lipsticks. As for shades, try very light shades. Neutral brown or baby pink. Avoid red lipstick as the hair color is already red so it would not look much nice. However, if you really want red shade in your lipsticks collection then stick to deep rose red or dark pink which gives look of red.

Finally for the blush, redheads can stick to the basic pinks and reds. Natural redheads generally are fair skinned so shopping for blush would not be much of a trouble.

Try to find the shades of blush which actually suit your own blush. Make sure that it is of the same family shade of lipstick. So basically if you are buying a lipstick, then buy blush of similar shade.

Other than this, you must ask the shopkeeper to give you cosmetics that are meant for redheads. This makes it easier to select the shades in makeup. So this is how you can choose make up products and shades if you are have red hair.
